In this session, the presenter will discuss important considerations and suggest strategies that can lead to more effective evaluation of non-native English speakers' (NNES) writing and improved support provided for this ever-expanding student population. At the end of the session, participants will have an opportunity to apply the strategies discussed by tailoring their own prompts, rubrics, or other class materials to address these concerns. Instructors from all disciplines are welcome.
