The goal of this workshop is to introduce a system or method of critical thinking to faculty in order to improve the research skills of all students. When the “Elements of Thoughts” and “Intellectual Standards” (developed by Dr. Richard Paul and the Foundation for Critical Thinking) are applied to research, students gain a confidence and an understanding of how research improves their assignments, papers, and participation. The end result will be a student who is a critical researcher. This workshop will combine a presentation of the critical thinking material and group discussion of classroom applications.
Reasonable accommodations, including Sign Language Interpreters, can be provided upon three days advance request notice.
