In this hands-on session, faculty will learn techniques to make sure the information posted on their webpages is accessible to all viewers. We will briefly cover the refreshed accessibility law and what in means for websites. The instructor will guide faculty through how to run an automated accessibility scan on their page, how to make sure their page titles, descriptions, and keywords are unique, links are descriptive, headings are hierarchical and in logical order, videos are captioned, and how to properly describe and add alternative text to images.
Technical skills needed for this workshop are beginner level.
